Saltwater Fly Fishing and Sports Fishing
All of our saltwater adventures are suitable for fly fishing and sports fishing enthusiasts alike.
When many of the more traditional southern fisheries in Australia and New Zealand are closed over winter or the weather in the south is just not too fishing friendly the saltwater fisheries in warmer climates to the north are booming.
Imagine yourself standing on a 7 meter sports fishing boat in Australia's Northern Territory. There is a large crocodile idly watching you as it suns its self on the river bank 30 meters away. A huge and majestic Sea Eagle stands sentry in a tree nearby just waiting to see what you catch - maybe it plans to steal it from you - then it happens! A cast to the edge of the mangroves for one of those aggressive “Barra” that your guide swears are there results in a ferocious splash of silver and spray as your fly or lure gets hammered.
Or perhaps you have spent the day chasing Permit and Tarpon in The Gulf of Carpentaria off the Far North Queensland coast. And just for fun you landed a 20kg Giant Trevally on the way back to your luxuriously appointed mothership or fishing lodge. You relax on the deck enjoying a cold drink and swapping stories with your fellow fishers whilst watching one of these amazing tropical sunsets.
Maybe you prefer to cruise the exotic and spectacular Kimberley coast or chase 1 meter plus Barramundi on a Kimberley river. One of the last true wilderness areas in Australia the Kimberley is a fisherman’s paradise offering fantastic challenges for both fly fisherman and sports fisherman with Barra, Queenfish, G.T’s, Mackerel and others.
And for the more adventurous and enthusiastic saltwater fly fisherman there is Bonefishing on Christmas Island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Stalking Bonefish across the miles of shallow tropical waters in the world’s largest lagoon. The exhilaration of the flash of colour and the thump on your fly when the "bone" hits is something you will not forget!
We will be adding more saltwater fishing adventures to exotic and proven destinations in the near future so why not subscribe to our free newsletter for updates.
